All About Therapy
According to the American Psychological Association, “Psychologists help people of all ages live happier, healthier and more productive lives.” Through the use of various psychotherapy methods and collaborative treatment measures, my patients develop life-changing habits to help them cope with any of life’s various obstacles. My therapy sessions are designed to dissect personal issues and provide patients with effective tools to help them see the glass half full instead of half empty. I employ a solution-focus approach, which assist my clients to find active ways to resolve difficulties in their lives. This approach is a sub-category of a CBT (Cognitive behavioral therapy)
A process of developing your self-awareness
Your well-being is my ultimate concern.
Since 2005, I have provided patients in the Montreal area with a wide range of psychological and counseling services to suit their needs. My online psychotherapy sessions are aimed at an adult clientele.
My therapy sessions are designed to strengthen your confidence and assist you in the healing process. I used an integrative approach in therapy (Cognitive behavioral therapy, Humanistic Approach, Positive/Mindfulness psychology, and Emotional Focused therapy).
During psychotherapy, the client shares and explores their present life challenges in a safe environment. The client identifies the effects of the stressors on various aspects of their life, such as mental health, relationships, work, etc. The psychologist offers guidance, tools, and comprehensive analysis to the client to improve their psychological well-being.
First appointment- What to expect during your first session?
The first session can be overwhelming for a new client. Being unaware of what to expect and how to prepare for the meeting can be stressful. So let me give you some information about this first meeting.
During the initial session, we will get to know each other while I ask you some questions about your psychological state. I will conduct a brief psychological assessment and we will explore your current challenges. Also, we will attempt to identify a therapeutic goal. In the subsequent sessions, we work towards your therapeutic goal. I will provide you with tools, reading suggestions, and creative assignments to assist with the attainment of your goal.
Once you have successfully attained your personal goal, psychotherapy sessions can slow down or cease.
